Bryant/Hubbell MS1001NI ivory passive infrared occupancy sensor switch (Bryant is a division of Hubbell). A vacancy switch is designed to be turned ON manually and then turns OFF automatically a preset time after motion has ceased. Vacancy switches have greater savings over occupancy sensors because lights are only turned on when the user needs them. Requires a clear, unobstructed line of sight for detection because it senses occupancy as movement of heat emitted from the body against the background space. A segmented Fresnel lens divides a coverage area into zones; movement across zones is interpreted as occupancy. Excellent for small room control. Features include:
- Vacancy sensor - lights must be turned ON manually using the switch on the face and will turn OFF automatically a preset time (up to 30 min.)
- 3-way capable
- Manual adjustment time delay (20 sec. to 30 min.)
- No neutral required
- Nightlight to provide minimum illumination when the lights are off
- Designed for use on 120V AC or 277V AC circuits, no neutral needed for fast retrofits
- Heavy duty relay controls up to 1000 watts at 120V AC or 1800 watts at 277V AC
- Front press switch allows the occupant to switch the sensor from automatic operation to momentary OFF mode
- Photocell can prevent lights from turning ON with sufficient natural light
- High density 1200 square foot 180 degree coverage with tough tamper-resistant lens
- Steel mounting strap
- Tamper-resistant push button covers the time-out, service switch, vacancy and occupancy operation mode settings
